TEAM
For athletes that are new to competing and who are still mastering the NGA Level 3 skills, as well as athletes that want to compete but do not want to commit to 12 plus hours of weekly practices. Level 3 and Gold members will practice 5 to 7 hours a week. Platinum and Diamond levels will practice 10 to 12 hours. They will compete in 4 to 5 NGA Sanctioned competitions from January to April. There will be a semi-compulsory routine unique to the Inspire team, for each level and event. If a gymnast wishes to have a unique routine (note: this is not an option for Level 3) with her own music and choreography for floor, and her own choreography for beam, she will need to purchase a copy of her chosen, properly licensed music, pay a coach to choreograph the routines, and pay for at least one private lesson during which she will learn her routine. Team members will also participate in our in-house recitals and are encouraged to perform at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair talent show. Members are selected from current Recreational classes, and/or Rocket Power and Fast Track (pre-team), or Team+ members who decide to cut back on commitment hours.
TEAM+
Members will be expected to commit to at least 12 hours of practice a week, attend 7 to 8 meets per season, and participate in Inspire’s in-house recitals. Athletes will be evaluated periodically by coaches during the non-competition season to be placed in their appropriate competition level. Once competition registrations begin, the competitive level for the season will be established and athletes will typically only move up to the next level upon completion of the competition season. Routines are mostly optional, although for the lower levels the Inspire coaching staff may establish a semi-compulsory routine for each level in order to simplify the routine memorization process for newer athletes, and to allow for a more efficient coaching atmosphere. As gymnasts move in to higher competitive levels (around level 6) they will be expected to have their own unique choreography on beam and floor. They will need to purchase their own properly licensed music, pay a coach to choreograph their routine, and pay for at least one private lesson during which they will learn their routine.
