SAFETY GUIDE

Your part
  • Talk to your children about the importance of washing hands properly.

  • If your children show any symptoms of illness, stay home. We'll happily assign a make-up token.

  • Send your children with their own water bottle.
  • If your child is under 7 years old, please assist them during their water/bathroom break.
Entering Building, Prior to Class
  • We recomend 1 adult per child in the building however, we do love seeing many caring adults cheering on their little-ones.

Traffic flow
  • This is for ALL students ages 3 to 5. One parent per student is required to remain in attendance for the duration of their class, and must be seated in the designated viewing area.
  • Students ages 6 and up: should move into the hallway, and leave shoes and water bottles on a spot. Parents remaining in the building should find a seat.
During Class, The BIG three rules
  • Follow your coach's directions.
  • Keep yourself and your crew safe.
  • Stay with your coach in the gym.
Students who are unsafe, refusing to participate, or unable to follow directions will be asked to take a short brain break on their focus spot. If a student continues to struggle, they will be sent to a parent for a pep-talk. This should be a short (30-second) reminder that following the coach’s instruction is important because it keeps the child safe. Students who continue to struggle after a pep talk will be asked to leave class for the day.
Parents please do not enter the gym area (training space) unless if asked by a coach.
After Class
  • Students will be released into the hallway where their belongings were left. If parents are in the facility, they should meet their children and then proceed down the exit.
Building Evacuation
For all major emergencies such as Fire, Earthquake, Dangerous Intruders, and all life threating emergencies that require evacuation of the building, staff will usher their class out the exit(s) and to the buildings adjacent to Inspire Athletics or to the safest area possible .If you (parent) want to leave or take your children home, you must show an ID to the coach in charge of the group.
Tornado Threat
  • Stay calm and line up in the hallway in front of the bathrooms, in the bathrooms, and office area. You should kneel facing a wall and cover your head. Students who have their parent in the gym can be with them, simply inform the coach in charge of the group. We will keep you informed of the ongoing news from the police and the radio. If you want to leave with your children, you must inform the coach in charge of the group.
