In-ground pit funding campaign
Inspire Athletics has been investing in the lives of the youth in our community since January of 2007. In 2019 we reached our peak enrollment of 540 girls and boys participating in Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Ninja. We’ve had thousands of children go through our programs over these 19 years, including competitive gymnasts who have won various State and Regional Championship titles. After being shutdown for two months, and then operating in very limiting conditions for most of 2020, we spent the next couple of years rebuilding our program. However in August of 2023, a fire destroyed our facility. We lost our equipment and our leased building was declared a total loss. During the time we were “homeless” our gymnastics team practiced in the gymnasium of a local church and at other local gyms, which allowed our team members to still compete in the 2023-2024 season, culminating with several more State and Regional Champions.
Seven months after the fire, we secured a temporary space at The Bag Factory in Goshen, and reopened for classes in mid-March 2024. Within a few months we had 300 children enrolled, but we were limited by our space and the accessibility of our location, so we continued our search for a long term home. In May 2025 we closed on the purchase of our new facility on Chester Drive. We had a significant amount of renovations to do, including installing security related features and adding restrooms, to prepare the building for our use. In addition we invested in more equipment to be able to properly serve our community. All these investments are important for what we do, but there is one important missing piece: an in-ground pit. This upgrade will improve skill development, allowing us to train more athletes for high level skills, in a much safer manner, for both athletes and coaches. This is an important part of our service to the 350 to 550 local families that come to us on a weekly basis.
