Future Leaders Internship Program
We are excited to announce that we are taking applications for FLIP (Future Leaders Internship Program) for Fall 2025. This internship at Inspire Athletics, is an opportunity for teenagers who would like to develop leadership skills and learn the basics of being a coach at Inspire! Part of the mission of Inspire Athletics has always been to prepare leaders for tomorrow. We believe investing in building up our children’s character and leadership skills is a vital part of helping our community be an even better place in which to live. Interns will receive extensive hands-on, classroom, and video-based training. They will observe or assist in teaching Ninja, Tumbling, and Gymnastics classes from preschool age to school age. They will learn about general class management and child development, as well as safety in the gym, and teaching proper technique. The internship will run from September 17th through November 22nd, with an average commitment of 6 hours per week. The regular weekly FLIP Group meetings/classroom instruction time will be on Wednesdays at 4:00. The exact days and times the in-gym training will be established upon acceptance to the program and according to each intern’s availability. If Interns are not able to make it on a day they are scheduled for, their absence must be approved by our FLIP leadership. The weekly schedule may be adjusted (upon approval of our FLIP leader) to accommodate the need for a single day off, so that the required weekly hours are still met. One of the requirements for successfully completing the internships is to log a minimum of 50 total of in gym observation/training hours during the internship period. After successfully completing the program, interns will be eligible to apply for a part-time paid position as a Junior Coach (ages 14-15) or Coach (age 16 and up). If hired they will receive additional paid training. Junior Coaches assist in setting up equipment for classes, managing students, and providing instruction under the close supervision of a Lead Coach. The goal for staff ages 16 and up is to prepare them to coach independently after additional training, which may take 2 to 4 months. If you have a teenager, age 14 and up, who might be interested, you can download the application at https://www.inspireathletics.com/flip/ Please feel free to email frontdesk@inspireathletics.com with any questions. Only 4 FLIP spots are available! The application deadline is August 23rd.
